David Thompson
From SpaceWiki
David Thompson, Chairman, CEO, and co-founder of Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC), has been involved in space exploration since he was an undergrad at MIT. He spent four summers as an intern at the NASA Langley Research Center and Johnson Space Center working on Space Shuttle projects. Then, as a grad student at Caltech, he worked on the first Mars landing missions at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Currently OSC does comparatively small-time satellite operations, but now that NASA is privatizing stuff, Thompson might get another chance to work on a Mars mission someday.
