Dr. Jeff Ward of SpaceX may find himself frequently referred to as "that other Vice President of Avionics, Guidance, and Control (VP-AGC) who isn't also the Chief Engineer," but at least Ward's title is less confusing. Also, if we want to make this a competition, Dr. Ward has definitely gotten a lot more satellites launched in his career to date than his VP-AGC colleague Dr. Hans Koenigsmann. As Team Leader, Project Manager, Technical Director, and ultimately Managing Director of Surrey Satellite Technology Limited, he oversaw the launch of at least 24 satellites, including the one that first demonstrated how we can expand the Internet into space.
